Founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, Master Choa Kok Sui is credited with the development of an energy healing system using more effectively and efficiently prana or ki, which is the life force that keeps the body alive. Albeit a trained Chemical Engineer and successful businessman, he spent more than 30 years researching and studying literature and books on esoteric sciences, examining and sorting through their various healing techniques, and eventually developing the concepts, principles, techniques, and practical applications of Pranic Healing as it is widely known today.

Grand Master Choa Kok Sui and the Birth of Modern Pranic Healing

Born on August 15, 1952 in Cebu , Philippines and raised in a multi-faith environment, Master Choa Kok Sui found himself inclined to paranormal and spiritual matters from the tender age of 12. As a teenager, he spent a year doing inner purification, laying the foundation for his ventures into the spiritual path. He also lived a simple life, akin to that of a yogi, refusing the comforts that he could otherwise have easily afforded.

As a young man, Master Choa Kok Sui studied a wide range of healing arts (notably at a time when they were not yet validated as sciences), achieving a kind of encyclopedic level of knowledge on the subject matter. He studied under spiritual guides, who themselves were spiritually advanced and extraordinarily powerful healers, and whose guidance were inevitably crucial to the development of Modern Pranic Healing.

As he treaded further on his spiritual path in his spiritual journey, Master Choa Kok Sui made close associations with yogis, healers, clairvoyants, practitioners of Chinese chi kung (the art of generating internal power) and persons who were in telepathic contact with their spiritual gurus. He studied yoga, psychic phenomenon, mysticism, Chinese chi kung, Rosicrucian Teachings of the Ancient Mystical Order of RosaeCrucis (AMORC), Theosophy, Astara lessons, Arcane School teachings, and other esoteric sciences.

Throughout 1983 to 1987, Master Choa Kok Sui worked on the completion of what was his Spiritual Thesis: he labored over the monumental tasks of synthesizing, experimenting, validating, conceptualizing, formulating, systematizing and developing the bulk of what would become Modern Pranic Healing and ArhaticYoga .

Modern Pranic Healing as a science was finally born in late 1987, with the publication of Master Choa Kok Sui book, The Ancient Science and Art of Pranic Healing (later changed to the title (including) Miracles Through Pranic Healing), which has since been translated into more than 30 languages and distributed in over 40 countries, veritably serving as an introduction for thousands to the science and art of Modern Pranic Healing. He has written many books related to Pranic Healing - Pranic Psychotherapy (1990), Advanced Pranic Healing (1992), Pranic Crystal Healing (1996), Psychic Self Defense for Home and Office (1999),and Meditations for Soul Realization (2000), which has been published in 30 languages and circled around the globe, spreading to more than 80 countries.

In 2004, Inner Teachings of Hinduism Revealed by Master Choa Kok Sui was published in India. The Universal and Kabbalistic Chakral Meditation on the Lord Prayer published in 2001 goes beyond its traditional perspective, and has formed a system for spiritual development synthesizing three spiritual concepts: the Biblical Lords Prayer, the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and the yogi concept of chakras or vortices of spiritual energy. The book The Spiritual Essence of Man published in2003 revealed the inner meaning of theTree of Life, which is mentioned in Genesis and in the Book of Revelation, in the Upanishads and in the Bhagavad Gita.

Master Choa Kok Sui founded numerous organizations including the Grand Master Choa Kok Sui Charitable Foundation and Grand Master Choa Kok Sui Trust Fund to provide feeding programs, medical assistances and providing scholarships and projects for the poor, sick, orphaned, jobless, homeless, and the needy as a manifestation of his loving-kindness and generosity. He established the Institute for Inner Studies, Inc in Phiippines in 1987 and World Pranic Healing Foundation in Philippines in 1990 to spread Pranic healing, Arhatic yoga, the inner teachings and practices globally.

The Masters/Acharyas are the senior most disciples of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui who had been trained by him personally for the last 20 years. They have dedicated their lives to help spread GMCKS’ teachings globally. Currently The Institute for Inner Studies Inc. and World Pranic Healing Foundation Inc.
